HURRICANE & TROPICAL STORM POLICY
Valentina Liveaboard will make reasonable efforts to operate each trip according to the scheduled itinerary. However, hurricanes, tropical storms, tropical weather systems, or severe weather and sea conditions may require changes to the itinerary, diving activities, departure time, or sailing route in order to ensure the safety of our passengers, crew, and vessel.
The Captain shall have the authority to modify the itinerary, dive sites, sailing schedule, remain in port, return to port, delay departure, or cancel a trip when he considers it necessary due to weather or sea conditions. All decisions will be made based on weather conditions, official information, and applicable regulations.
Any modification, delay, missed dive, or cancellation resulting from a hurricane, tropical storm, or severe weather conditions beyond Valentina Liveaboard’s reasonable control will not entitle passengers to a refund, credit, compensation, or reimbursement, except as specifically stated below.
In the event of a mandatory or advisory stay at port for one night due to weather conditions, Valentina Liveaboard will provide meals and accommodation on board, as well as a one-time US$100 credit per person for all dives missed during the port stay. This credit may be applied toward a future Valentina Liveaboard trip.
Valentina Liveaboard is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by passengers as a result of weather-related disruptions, including flights, hotels, transfers, transportation, or other travel arrangements.
We strongly recommend that all passengers purchase comprehensive trip cancellation and interruption insurance to protect their travel investment and cover expenses that may arise from weather-related events.
